The WFT 2 is the next generation of WFT trimmers. The two main improvements are the ability to trim up to 45 caliber and interchange trim chambers. The WFT 2 has a half inch shaft and requires a half inch chuck to drive it. The feature most customers asked for was the ability to interchange trim chambers. Instead of press fitting the trim chambers, like the original WFT, the trim chambers on the WFT 2 are a slight slip fit in bearing with a groove cut for an O-ring which creates a press fit. Changing out trim chambers is accomplished by removing the cutter and pushing out the trim chamber with the knock-out dowel that is provided. Installing the trim chamber is accomplished by setting the trim chamber on a flat surface and steadily pushing the housing onto the trim chamber. Setting the cutter depth is easily adjusted by placing a “master case” in the trim chamber and sliding the cutter up to the case mouth and tightening down the set screws. Trimming is just as precise and clean as with our original trimmer. The trim chamber selection on the WFT 2 is by specific cartridge, but still trims by case family-just order the largest chamber in the family that you intend to trim. This unit and its inserts do not chamfer or deburr the case moouth of the cartridge case as it is trimmed. The WFT 2 is the next generation of WFT trimmers, designed to enhance your reloading experience with two significant improvements:
The WFT 2 features a half inch shaft and requires a half inch chuck to operate effectively. One of the most requested features from customers was the ability to interchange trim chambers. Unlike the original WFT, which used press-fitting for the trim chambers, the WFT 2 employs a slight slip fit in bearing, complemented by a groove cut for an O-ring to create a secure press fit.
Changing out trim chambers is straightforward: simply remove the cutter and use the provided knock-out dowel to push out the trim chamber. To install a new trim chamber, place it on a flat surface and steadily push the housing onto it.
Setting the cutter depth is simple and efficient. Just place a master case in the trim chamber, slide the cutter up to the case mouth, and tighten down the set screws. Trimming with the WFT 2 remains as precise and clean as with the original trimmer.
The trim chamber selection for the WFT 2 is cartridge-specific, yet it still trims by case family. Ensure you order the largest chamber in the family you intend to trim. Please note, this unit and its inserts do not chamfer or deburr the case mouth of the cartridge case during trimming.

Itâs a work in progress 25/08/2018
This was difficult for me to get the adjustment right. I used the master case against the cutter and locked the set screws. Installed the trimmer in Dewalt drill and the cases came out .006 short the first time. I readjusted and now itâs + or - .002. Maybe Iâm too much a perfectionist. It is fast. The cutter has chips in the edges and some case chatter a bit till cut no matter how easy I insert the trimmer. Iâll order another cutter when theyâre in stock. Overall I believe most of my challenges are due to âoperator error!â Hence the 5 star rating.
Not the best choice 23/02/2017
I have to give credit to Little Crow Gunworks. They offered to take back my trimmer and fix it after I buggered it up. Using the dowlel to remove the insert caused the entire bottom bearing to pop out. Needed to hear the housing with a torch to get that back in. But I kept it, knowing I will never change out the trim chamber to trim another caliber.
Problems: The WFT required a half inch chuck. THat means your normal power drill will not work. That's just poor design thinking. Second, it is tough to clean. Third, as noted, it does not chamfer, so you get to double-work your brass. Last, it is not easy to adjust the cut height. Bottom line: there are better options.
