The WFT 2 Trimmer from LITTLE CROW GUNWORKS is designed for efficiency and versatility, making it an essential tool for any gunsmith or firearm enthusiast.

Product Features:

  • Precision Trimming: Achieves clean and accurate trims similar to the original WFT.

The WFT 2 features a half inch shaft and is designed to work with a half inch chuck. One of the most requested features by our customers is the ability to interchange trim chambers effortlessly. Unlike the original WFT, which required press fitting, the WFT 2 utilizes a slip fit design with a groove for an O-ring, ensuring a secure press fit.

How to Change Trim Chambers:

Changing out trim chambers is simple. Just remove the cutter and use the provided knock-out dowel to push out the trim chamber. To install a new trim chamber, place it on a flat surface and steadily push the housing onto it.

Setting Cutter Depth:

Adjusting the cutter depth is straightforward. Place a “master case” in the trim chamber, slide the cutter up to the case mouth, and tighten the set screws for a precise fit.

Note that the trim chamber selection on the WFT 2 is by specific cartridge, but it still trims by case family. Be sure to order the largest chamber in the family you intend to trim. Please be aware that this unit and its inserts do not chamfer or deburr the case mouth of the cartridge case as it is trimmed.

Definitely recommended

Brownells USA It’s a work in progress 25/08/2018

This was difficult for me to get the adjustment right. I used the master case against the cutter and locked the set screws. Installed the trimmer in Dewalt drill and the cases came out .006 short the first time. I readjusted and now it’s + or - .002. Maybe I’m too much a perfectionist. It is fast. The cutter has chips in the edges and some case chatter a bit till cut no matter how easy I insert the trimmer. I’ll order another cutter when they’re in stock. Overall I believe most of my challenges are due to “operator error!” Hence the 5 star rating.

Brownells USA Not the best choice 23/02/2017

I have to give credit to Little Crow Gunworks. They offered to take back my trimmer and fix it after I buggered it up. Using the dowlel to remove the insert caused the entire bottom bearing to pop out. Needed to hear the housing with a torch to get that back in. But I kept it, knowing I will never change out the trim chamber to trim another caliber.

Problems: The WFT required a half inch chuck. THat means your normal power drill will not work. That's just poor design thinking. Second, it is tough to clean. Third, as noted, it does not chamfer, so you get to double-work your brass. Last, it is not easy to adjust the cut height. Bottom line: there are better options.
