These Terms have been designed to protect your rights as a valued customer, to protect our rights as a business, and to create an understanding between us.
Please note carefully the section which refers to our Returns Procedure, and the section which details our obligations under the Distance Selling Regulations.

The Terms apply to all transactions carried out on the Brownells UK website and through our mail order system. Should this not be the case we will indicate either "this applies to website sales only" or " this applies to mail-order sales only".

We will not be liable to you for any other claims which arise out of the supply of our products to you unless we are grossly negligent.
We will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but, unless we are grossly negligent, we will not be liable to you for losses as a result of unauthorised access to information provided by you.
We will use all reasonable endeavours to carry out our obligations to you within a reasonable period of time but will not be liable to you, the buyer, for any loss, costs or expenses arising directly or indirectly from any delays in doing so and we will not be deemed to be in breach of our obligations to you by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of our obligations, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond our reasonable control. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the following will be regarded as causes beyond our reasonable control Act of God, explosion, flood, tempest, fire or accident, War or threat of war, sabotage, civil disturbance or requisition, Acts, restrictions, regulations, bye-laws, prohibitions or measures of any kind on the part of any governmental, parliamentary or local authority, Import or export regulations or embargoes, Strikes, lock outs or other industrial actions or trade disputes, Difficulties in obtaining raw materials, labour, fuel, parts or machinery, Power failure or breakdown in machinery.

These conditions are subject to English law and the jurisdiction of the English courts.
MAKING A PURCHASE
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept Visa and Mastercard Credit Cards as well as Delta and Switch Debit Cards. We are entitled to refuse any order placed by you and will not be required to provide an explanation.
You must be resident in the United Kingdom.
We are not obliged to supply the goods or services to you until we have confirmed acceptance of your order. The automated order confirmation email is not acceptance. It is on our acceptance that a contract comes into effect between us.
Ownership of the goods transfers when we have been paid in full and delivery has taken place.
All products are supplied subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply any product, we will inform you of this as soon as possible.
Occasionally a manufacturer may change the specifications of a product. Should this happen to a product you have ordered from us we will endeavour to offer you a substitute product of no less specification and equivalent price. If you are unhappy with the replacement you can return it by contacting our Returns Team. Please click through to Brownells UK contacts
All sizes and dimensions are approximate and pictures may only be representative but we make every effort to make sure they are as accurate as possible.
PRICES AND PAYMENT
Where limited offers are advertised, these products are subject to availability and are allocated on a strict first come first served basis. When all the stock of these products has been allocated, no substitute product will be offered.
We have selected our products on the basis that they will be used for domestic use only. If you are planning to use them for business purposes please make sure that you have appropriate insurance. Brownells UK accepts no liability whatsoever where products are misused or not used in accordance with instructions.
The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order apart from the following exception. While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. We are not obliged to provide a product to you at an incorrect (lower) price.
All quotations are subject to change by Brownells UK at any time upon notice to Purchaser. All quoted prices are based on the current exchange rate, tariffs and costs of shipping. Brownells UK reserves the right to reflect unanticipated cost charges in the selling price at the time that the order is placed.
Payment can be made by any method specified in our Payment Options section on checkout. For Net terms BACS payment is required.
After a strategic review of Customs export and import restrictions on most of the products, we have regrettably decided that we are no longer able to accept or process orders for international customers outside the UNITED KINGDOM (UK).
Regrettably due to the excessive freight costs we no longer ship to the Channel Islands.
We do not ship to BFPO addresses or to Freight Forwarders.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your valued custom in the past and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
REGISTERED FIREARMS DEALERS - PROOFING
We have been asked by the Proof House, as agents of Brownells USA, to remind all trade customers on purchasing pressure bearing parts such as, chambered barrels, receivers, bolts etc. that:
"It is a criminal offence to import Firearms into the UK which have not been proved in a C.I.P (the international proof governing body) approved Proof House, without giving written notification to the British Proof Authority within 7 Days of their entry or submitting for proof within 28 days of their entry. It is also a criminal offence to export a firearm which is not marked with a valid Proof Mark."
Please ensure that you comply with the above requirement.

SPECIFIC KNIFE SALE TERMS
Our company policy states that we shall not supply knives of any kind (nor knife making materials or accessories), to persons under the age of 18 years. We regret that we cannot send knives to educational addresses. We supply knives solely for legitimate field, recreational, sports and utility use, or as collectable curios. We reserve the right to refuse a sale or terminate a contract should we have any reason whatsoever to believe that the person to whom we shall supply may be under the age of 18 years, or if we believe that the supply may contravene any other legislation affecting the sale of knives. Further, by entering into a contract with us for the purchase of a knife, you are hereby consenting to our undertaking such searches as may be reasonably to satisfy ourselves as to legislative compliance.
The following statements are made for the purpose of giving guidance, and cannot be viewed as comprehensive knife safety instructions. Ultimately, knife safety is your responsibility and common sense should be exercised at all times. A blunt or carelessly handled knife can cause serious injury. Keep a keen edge on your knife and exercise caution when sharpening the blade. Always use a Knife with proper due care and attention, and never use a knife as a pry bar or a screwdriver, or for a purpose for which it is not specifically designed. Never threaten anybody with a knife, even in jest, as this is a serious Criminal Offence. And never leave a knife where it might be accessible to a child, a minor or any third party.
EXPANDING AMMUNITION - BULLET HEADS
If you wish to purchase expanding pistol caliber bullet heads we will need you to provide us with your local RFD details and you will need to confirm that they will accept these on your behalf. If the RFD has an account with us we can ship to them, if not we will require them to fax or email their RFD certificate. Once this is done you can place the order with their address as an 'alternative delivery address' when you place the order. Once this arrangement is in place all future orders from Brownells UK that require validation of your firearms certificate can be shipped to your local RFD. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact customer service at: email@example.com or by telephone on: 01788 815115.

Nothing has changed in any way with how we store data or how the site operates, but we are now obliged to give the following information.
What are cookies? A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, or browser cookie, is usually a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in a user's web browser while a user is browsing a website. When the user browses the same website in the future, the data stored in the cookie can be retrieved by the website to notify the website of the user's previous activity. Cookies were designed to be a reliable mechanism for websites to remember the state of the website or activity the user had taken in the past. This can include clicking particular buttons, logging in, or a record of which pages were visited by the user. Other kinds of cookies perform essential functions in the modern Web. Perhaps most importantly, authentication cookies are the most common method used by web servers to know whether the user is logged in or not, and which account they are logged in under. Without such a mechanism, the site would not know whether to send a page full of sensitive information, or a message saying "sorry, you need to log in".
