Introducing the WFT 2 Trimmer - the ultimate tool for precision trimming!

The WFT 2 Trimmer from LITTLE CROW GUNWORKS is the next generation of WFT trimmers, designed to enhance your reloading experience. With two main improvements, this trimmer is capable of trimming up to .45 caliber and features interchangeable trim chambers.

Key Features:

  • Interchangeable Trim Chambers: Unlike the original WFT, the WFT 2 allows for easy swapping of trim chambers thanks to a slight slip fit in bearing with a groove for an O-ring that creates a secure press fit.
  • Half Inch Shaft: The WFT 2 comes with a half inch shaft, requiring a compatible half inch chuck for operation.
  • Easy Chamber Changes: Changing trim chambers is simple: remove the cutter and use the provided knock-out dowel to push out the chamber.
  • Precision Cutting: Setting the cutter depth is straightforward—just place a "master case" in the trim chamber, slide the cutter to the case mouth, and tighten the set screws.

Trimming with the WFT 2 is as precise and clean as with our original trimmer. The trim chamber selection is based on specific cartridges, but it still trims by case family—just order the largest chamber in the family you intend to trim.

Please note that this unit and its inserts do not chamfer or deburr the case mouth of the cartridge case while trimming. If you cannot find the cartridge you need, feel free to contact our Special Order Department at 800-741-0015.

Brownells USA It’s a work in progress 25/08/2018

This was difficult for me to get the adjustment right. I used the master case against the cutter and locked the set screws. Installed the trimmer in Dewalt drill and the cases came out .006 short the first time. I readjusted and now it’s + or - .002. Maybe I’m too much a perfectionist. It is fast. The cutter has chips in the edges and some case chatter a bit till cut no matter how easy I insert the trimmer. I’ll order another cutter when they’re in stock. Overall I believe most of my challenges are due to “operator error!” Hence the 5 star rating.

Brownells USA Not the best choice 23/02/2017

I have to give credit to Little Crow Gunworks. They offered to take back my trimmer and fix it after I buggered it up. Using the dowlel to remove the insert caused the entire bottom bearing to pop out. Needed to hear the housing with a torch to get that back in. But I kept it, knowing I will never change out the trim chamber to trim another caliber.

Problems: The WFT required a half inch chuck. THat means your normal power drill will not work. That's just poor design thinking. Second, it is tough to clean. Third, as noted, it does not chamfer, so you get to double-work your brass. Last, it is not easy to adjust the cut height. Bottom line: there are better options.
