The new Precision Resizing Dies are the culmination of years of shooting and reloading precision rifle cartridges. The design and execution of these dies represent pure Short Action Customs innovation and a commitment to excellence.

Key Features:

  • Minimal Sizing: Each Precision Resizing Die is designed to size the cartridge shoulder just enough to prevent overworking the brass while ensuring proper feeding and function.
  • Enhanced Base Sizing: The base of the cartridge is sized more than a standard die, allowing “fired and tired” brass to be reused without issues like clicking or sticky bolt closure due to enlarged base diameters.
  • Accurate Geometry: Important details such as neck/shoulder radius and neck diameters are carefully derived from the parent cartridge’s body geometry, ensuring that sized brass retains the true geometry of the parent cartridge.
  • Superior Material: The new material offers increased surface finish and core strength compared to 416 Stainless and 12L14.
  • Advanced Heat Treatment: The new heat treat provides a surface hardness of up to 80 Rockwell on the C scale, while also offering increased lubricity compared to standard heat treat and Salt Bath Nitriding/Melojnite.
  • Precision Machining: Die bodies are machined in two operations, ensuring extreme accuracy.
  • Standard Compatibility: Uses standard 7/8 x 14 external threads to secure to any standard reloading press.
  • Versatile Bushings: These dies use SAC's Neck/Shoulder Sizing Bushings, allowing compatibility with similar cartridges within the same family. For example, the Creedmoor Die Body can be used for 22, 6mm, 25, and 6.5mm Creedmoor cartridges, depending on the Neck/Shoulder Bushing purchased.
