Only the closely controlled density of felt wheels will give the superb finish that marks the real professional. Complete instructions on Polish-O-Ray™ tube describes felt wheel technique. It is best to use a different wheel for each polish grit. 1/2 hp or under, use 6" wheels at 3600 RPM, 1/2 hp or over, 8" at 1800, 3/4 hp or over can use 10" at 1800. 10" for experienced polishers only. Use the soft felt for most work, medium or hard wheel for 555™ Polish.

The FELT POLISHING WHEELS from BACON FELT COMPANY offer the finest quality polishing tools for professional gunsmiths. Designed for optimal performance, these 6" medium felt polishing wheels feature a 5/8" arbor and are expertly crafted to deliver exceptional results.

Product Features:

  • 1" wide felt wheels, carefully selected and factory trued
  • Controlled density for a superb finish
  • Complete instructions available on the Polish-O-Ray™ tube
  • Best used with a different wheel for each polish grit
  • Recommended speeds:
    • 1/2 hp or under: 6" wheels at 3600 RPM
    • 1/2 hp or over: 8" wheels at 1800 RPM
    • 3/4 hp or over: 10" wheels at 1800 RPM (for experienced polishers only)
  • Soft felt recommended for most work; medium or hard wheel for 555™ Polish

Specifications:

All wheels are 1" (2.5cm) thick and made with a 1" (2.5cm) arbor. Adapters included convert to 1/2" (12.7mm), 5/8" (15.9mm), 3/4" (6.4mm), and 7/8" (22.2mm). One adapter is supplied with each wheel.
