Button rifled for unequalled smoothness with tolerances for groove diameter and straightness held to .0005". .22 through .338 barrels feature 6- grooves while the .358, .375 and .458 barrels have 8. No straightening is done and all barrels are stress relieved.

The CONTOUR #4, DOUGLAS .257 1-10 TWIST CM #4 CONTOUR ULTRA RIFLED BARREL is a premium choice for shooters seeking exceptional accuracy and quality. Manufactured by the oldest barrel maker in the U.S., Douglas, this match-grade barrel blank is ideal for any rebarrelling project.

Specifications:

Made from 4140 Chrome moly and stainless steel. The "Finished" dimensions are detailed in the accompanying chart. Unturned Blanks will be .025" (.63mm) to .050" (1.3mm) larger in diameter and 1-½" (3.8cm) longer than indicated. Please note that these barrels are not threaded or chambered.

Definitely recommended

Brownells USA I will buy this product again and again 06/12/2011

Bore was beautifully finished, .0001 straight from end to end. Groove diameter was a few 10ths under bullet diameter and .0001 taper from breach to muzzle, (3573 – 3572 @ muzzle) giving excellent gas seal! Best 35 cal barrel I've seen yet!
