Button rifled for unequalled smoothness with tolerances for groove diameter and straightness held to .0005". .22 through .338 barrels feature 6- grooves while the .358, .375 and .458 barrels have 8. No straightening is done and all barrels are stress relieved.

Match-Grade Barrel Blanks

As the oldest barrel maker in the U.S., Douglas offers famous Double XX, premium-grade barrels known for their exceptional accuracy and meticulous manufacturing process.

  • Tolerances for groove diameter and straightness held to .0005"
  • .22 through .338 barrels feature 6 grooves
  • .358, .375 and .458 barrels have 8 grooves
  • No straightening is done; all barrels are stress relieved

Specifications

Constructed from 4140 Chrome moly and stainless steel. The "Finished" dimensions are provided in the chart. Unturned Blanks will be .025" (.63mm) to .050" (1.3mm) larger in diameter and 1-½" (3.8cm) longer than indicated. Note that these barrels are not threaded or chambered.
