The size marked on them refers to the middle of the bushing, which is reamed with a .003” taper. Since the case neck only reaches the middle, a slightly tighter sizing can be achieved by turning the bushing over, with the markings facing toward the case (markings facing down). This is mainly an emergency step to be taken if the brass has hardened, springing back more, and will no longer hold the bullet; or for fine-tuning the sizing to provide less additional “squeeze” than using the next smaller bushing in the normal way. Made to similar specs to the Redding neck bushings. Will not interchange with Forster or RCBS dies. Introducing the NECK SIZING BUSHINGS from L.E. WILSON, designed to enhance your reloading experience with unparalleled accuracy and reliability.
Product Description
The Hardened stainless steel neck bushing from L.E. Wilson is engineered for precision. Wilson manufactures their bushings in .001” increments, ensuring a perfect fit for your needs. The size marked on each bushing refers to the middle, which is reamed with a .003” taper.
As the case neck only reaches the middle of the bushing, a slightly tighter sizing can be achieved by turning the bushing over, with the markings facing toward the case (markings facing down). This method is primarily an emergency step taken when the brass has hardened and springs back more, making it unable to hold the bullet. It can also be used for fine-tuning the sizing to provide less additional “squeeze” than using the next smaller bushing in the conventional manner.
These bushings are made to similar specifications as the Redding neck bushings and are not interchangeable with Forster or RCBS dies.
