Apex's innovative Forward Set Sear allows for a shorter pull length by releasing the striker at a more advanced position than the factory sear. The Ultimate Striker Block features an improved radius on the striker block face, smoothing out the trigger pull and eliminating the false reset issues found in some M&Ps.
Choose between a 3 lb. or 4 lb. trigger return spring, both of which offer lighter pulls than the factory version, enhancing your control for more consistent shot placement (note: 3 lb. is not recommended for duty/carry use).
The straight, flat trigger face enables you to position your finger lower on the trigger, providing additional leverage and better control to maximise the benefits of the reduced pull weight.
Compatibility:
The Apex Tactical Flat Faced Forward Set Sear & Trigger Kit is compatible with all S&W M&P centerfire pistols manufactured after June 2011, featuring the larger 1/8" diameter sear plunger and spring. IMPORTANT: This kit does not fit M2.0, Shield, BodyGuard, or .22 LR models. Installation may require minor gunsmithing, specifically modification of the trigger bar loop.
Brownells Gun Tech™ Note:
The Flat-Faced Forward Set Sear & Trigger Kit can be retrofitted onto M&Ps manufactured before June 2011 if equipped with the newer sear housing block that accommodates the 1/8" spring and plunger (#940-000-958, sold separately). For pre-June 2011 pistols, the plunger/spring will be 1/16" in diameter.
