840815150879 The next-generation PMAG 30 GEN M3 Window is a 30-round 5.56x45 NATO (.223 Remington) polymer magazine for AR15/M4 compatible weapons that features transparent windows to allow rapid visual identification of approximate number of rounds remaining. Along with expanded feature set and compatibility, the GEN M3 Window incorporates new material technology and manufacturing processes for enhanced strength, durability, and reliability to exceed rigorous military performance specifications. While the GEN M3 is optimized for Colt-spec AR15/M4 platforms, modified internal and external geometry also permits operation with a range of additional weapons such as the HK® 416/MR556A1/M27 IAR, British SA-80, FN® SCAR MK 16/16S, and others. Similar to the MOE® PMAG, the GEN M3 Window features a long-life USGl-spec stainless steel spring, four-way anti-tilt follower and constant-curve internal geometry for reliable feeding, and simple tool-less disassembly to ease cleaning. In addition, a redesigned bolt catch notch in the rear of the magazine provides increased bolt catch clearance, while an over-travel stop on the spine helps ensure the magazine will not over-insert on compatible weapons. Low profile ribs and new aggressive front and rear texture gives positive control of the GEN M3 in all environments, and a paint pen dot matrix has been added to the bottom panel of the body to allow easy marking by the end user for identification. The new, easy to disassemble flared floorplate aids extraction and handling of the magazine while providing improved drop protection, but is slightly slimmer than before for better compatibility with tight double and triple magazine pouches. Durable dual-side transparent windows allow for quick determination of approximate number of rounds remaining in the magazine. Utilizing a high visibility indicator coil on the spring and numerical markers on the magazine body, the MagLevel® system provides positive verification without affecting the durability or reliability of the magazine. Constructed from a polymer formula that delivers distinctly greater resistance to crushing and all forms of impact, the GEN M3 features extra reinforcement in the mag catch and feed lip areas. A new-design four-way anti-tilt follower ensures even smoother feeding, even when contaminated by dust or grit.

The included pop-off dust cover helps minimize debris intrusion and prevent damage during storage. Additionally, the removable floorplate is both stronger and slimmer, allowing for easier side-by-side carry in tight mag pouches. A pen dot matrix on each side allows consistent ID marking that resists handling wear.

The PMAG 30 is available with a clear polymer window on each side, allowing you to see the load status at a glance. These windows are made from an all-new, advanced clear polymer formula that offers even more resistance to chemicals and impact than the original MagLevel PMAG.

Definitely recommended

Works great with Noveske 09/10/2016

I won't talk about PMAGs in general, I think their strengths are well known. I felt the need to review the M3 mags though because of one key trait - they work perfect with Noveske rifles. I'm on my second factory Noveske and both have had two flaws that none of my BCMs suffer from - most mags are very difficult to seat on a closed bolt and many do not drop free. The M3 PMAG fixes that. Loaded and unloaded, all of the M3s I have seat easily and drop free. They work better than Lancer mags (though they are pretty good) and much better than gen 2/MOE PMAGs. Before trying the M3s, the only mags that would drop free reliably were USGI mags, but they were still difficult to seat on a closed bolt with a full 30 rounds. M3 mags fix all of that.

It's typical Magpul quality. Perfect feeding when loaded from 1 to 30 rounds and insert/drop freely from a number of rifles. No problem inserting a fully loaded mag on a closed bolt. Works great for mag dumps at the range or for coyote hunting
