050806011854 All that is needed is a die with the right threads to make a vast variety of gun screws simply and immediately! You will also need a file, and either a drill press or a pin vise. You can give them any thread length, any overall length and any head thickness desired. Blanks are made of easy-to-thread, tough, forging steel. If hard wearing surface is desired after threading, screws should be treated in Brownells Surface Hardening Compound (#083-000-033).

  • Customizable Lengths: Adjust thread length, overall length, and head thickness to meet your specific requirements.
  • Durable Material: Made from easy-to-thread, tough forging steel for long-lasting use.
  • Surface Hardening: For a hard-wearing surface after threading, treat screws with Brownells Surface Hardening Compound (#083-000-033).

Specifications:

Each kit contains:

  • 20 each of No. 4 Head - O.D., .220" (5.6mm)
  • 20 each of No. 6 Head - O.D., .265" (6.6mm)
  • 20 each of No. 8 and No. 10 Head - O.D., .303" (7.7mm)
  • 20 each of No. 12 Head - O.D., .355" (9.1mm)
  • 20 each of 1/4" Head - O.D., .398" (9.9mm)

Shank length on all sizes is 2.225" (5.65mm), measured from the underside of the head. All screws are pre-slotted. Refills are sold 20 per pack.
