The ATLAS S-ONE is the latest innovation from Aero Precision, designed for those who demand both performance and aesthetics in their firearm components.

Product Overview

Machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum, the S-ONE handguards are crafted with a focus on size and weight, making them ideal for lightweight builds. The proprietary ATLAS attachment system offers a durable and reliable mounting platform, maintaining a slim profile while delivering the strength and stability that Aero Precision handguards are known for.

  • Actual Handguard Lengths: 7.3", 9.3", 10.3", 12.7", 15" (measured from the receiver to the end of the last picatinny slot)

ATLAS Attachment System

The new Aero Taper Lock Attachment System (ATLAS) is designed to be both functional and visually appealing. It features:

  • Two mirrored tapered locking nuts for evenly distributed clamping pressure
  • A custom engineered barrel nut with a turnbuckle screw
  • A ratcheting detent for secure design and positive registration during installation

This innovative system ensures even pressure, avoiding distortion of the handguard during installation, a common issue with other systems.

Lightweight by Design

The weights of the M-LOK Handguards are as follows:

  • 7.3" - 4.86 oz
  • 9.3" - 5.47 oz
  • 10.3" - 6.0 oz
  • 12.7" - 7.00 oz
  • 15" - 7.95 oz

Mounting hardware weight: 1.9 oz (consistent across all S-ONE Handguard options).

  • NOT compatible with M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receivers

ATLAS Handguards are designed to seamlessly match with Aero's M4E1 Threaded Upper Receivers and are also compatible with any Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receivers. However, please note that they may not be compatible with billet upper receivers due to indexing tabs. Save when you purchase them as a combo.

Important: The ATLAS Handguards are NOT compatible with Aero's M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver.

Brownells USA Solid & light handguard-HEAVY barrel nut 27/08/2018

I purchased the 12 inch guard in black to be used with a 14.5 inch barrel. Machining was top notch, no sharp edges and all parts needed for install were included. Fit & finish were great and rail looks great with Aero upper & lower. I was surprised that the guard is pushed as slimline, and has a large portion of the rail removed for weight reduction yet this ships with a barrel nut that is so HUGE. I messaged Aero on this and would love to see a new nut that still allows for S-One attachment yet weighs 1/2 as much. Overall a very solid rail, and a great attachment mechanism. Would buy again, and would consider other brands more seriously based on total installed weight (rail+nut)
