The buffer tube has a very clean flat black finish was perfect with no defects. The receiver lock plate and castle nut have a good finish also. Comes with 3 oz carbine buffer and carbine buffer spring. Good quality product.

Okay product (26/06/2016)

The product is a basic mil spec kit which is what I wanted but my only concerns are four of the position holes have I small hole all the way through instead of a blind hole. Granted they are small holes that get covered by the stock but of all the kits I've done this is the first. Also the end plate does not fit flush to the receiver, I tried my fathers novinski to verify it wasn't my lower out of spec but it is definitely the plate. Again I don't think it will be a problem and I plan to switch it out later anyway. All in all, doesn't seem to be as good fit and finish as others but when on sale, the price out weighs the cons.

Not really much to say, does it's job and doesn't break the bank. Worth getting.

It's 6061 Not Mil Spec (13/06/2017)

I didn't know that it was 6061, and bought it without reading. When I installed it, end plate, ruined the threads; when I went to twist the buffer tube on. That was my fault for holding the end plate, but I torqued the castle nut on, and didn't feel any wobble. However the worst thing about this, was the part that covers the buffer retainer wore away. When I opened my AR one day, the retainer popped up into my face. Now the Rifle isn't safe to shoot, and I've replaced it with an actual Milspec 7075 buffer tube.

I needed one of these kits to finish up assembling an ar15 lower. The fit in finish was perfect for my stripped Ruger lower and I had no problems with the installation and functionality. The Magpul Mil-spec stock I already had fit perfectly with no extra play or slop. I would buy another one of these kits.
