If storing guns for along time, these plugs can keep rust preventativeagents and oils from seeping down into the actionand trigger group area. Brownells USA Makes Cleaning Tons Easier 14/08/2010

This made cleaning an older rifle I bought tons easier. I cleaned the rifle more than 10 times tying to get the copper fowling out. Then I bought the chamber plug and soaked the bore for two hour with it and it worked perfect to get the fowling out.
