Great product, you are limited to where you can mount rings/red dot sight since the mounting screws could be in the way. I mounted an Aim Point H1 red dot sight and was limited in positioning but was able to mount it in a decent spot. The mount fit snug at the rear end which is what I would expect so all the force from heavy recoil isn't soley on the mounting screws. I mounted this to a 480 ruger Super Redhawk with a cut down 5 1/2" barrel shooting a 425 gr cast bullet at 1100 fps with no movement of sight and I'm able to get 1 9/16" groups at 50 yrds. Highly recommended for red dot sights.
I did cut this mount down in the front at a simular angle to my Super Redhawk which looks custom fit to my gun. Tried uploading a pic but it wouldn't let me. Good Hunting!
