The 5-Inch Elastic Cummerbund is a practical solution for professionals needing quick access to additional ammunition and equipment while maintaining a low profile. Ideal for ground vehicle and low visibility operations, the elastic cells are 3 inches wide and built around standard 5.56 magazines, such as the PMAG.
These cummerbunds minimize user fatigue during extended wear by stretching with the body during active maneuvers. The use of 5-Inch Elastic ensures stable carriage of taller items, securely held in place. The sewn-on pull tabs facilitate the use of the Bungee Retention Kit for secure item retention during HALO, OTB, or other kinetic operations.

It boasts superior construction processes, including triple stitching on the elastic cells to enhance durability and prevent failure when carrying non-standard or oddly shaped items.
Cummerbund Attachment:
This proprietary attachment system allows for the use of all Spiritus Systems cummerbunds, providing a wide range of adjustment. The cummerbund attaches inside the plate bag, which offers several advantages:
- No external mounting that could snag or rip off during vehicle exits.
- A smooth profile when worn under clothing.
Note that Hook & Loop is not used as an attachment method on the rear plate bag due to its tendency to wear out and its less-than-optimal performance when unsupported. It does not handle weight well and can stick to various surfaces, especially cloth seats.
Sizing Information:
The cummerbund is available in two sizes:
- Size 1: 28" to 42"
- Size 2: 40" to 54"
To determine the appropriate size, measure your waist at the belly button while dressed as you would when wearing the carrier. For instance, if operating in arctic conditions, wear cold weather gear during measurement. If your waist measurement is 42", we recommend opting for Size 2.
Note: The LV119 Cummerbund is part of the LV119 Plate Carrier System. This item does not include a Front Plate Bag, Rear Plate Bag, Shoulder Covers, Placards, or any other accessories. Additional components are necessary for proper use. Some images may show optional accessories, sold separately.
