Must Have AItem for Late Model Ruger SA (20/04/2012)

Anyone who is even remotely mechanically inclined can use this tool to good effect. It took me about fifteen minutes to do two cylinders with very desirable results.

Great product (13/02/2016)

Bought it to use on my .45 Blackhawk along with the reamer. I pre pinned the throats at .451 so I knew I needed these as well. Well worth it, even if only for one gun. The gain in accuracy is excellent. Sad that Ruger doesn't just do this at the factory. I listed this and the reamer together on eBay if anyone is interested.

Does what they claim (20/01/2010)

I just recieved, and used ,the Manson "Throating" reamer today. Haven't got a chance to fire the pistol yet. BUT, concidering I had to pound the .452" bullets through the cylinder with a small brass hammer and punch, I expect it to shoot better than it did last weekend, without the cyl. mouth "sizing".

Bullets pass through now with slight pressure exerted on the punch.My 300 gr LBT loads will fully chamber now. Less "swaging" of the bullet should result in better accuracy and definitely safer chamber pressures!

A definite improvement in the SAFETY factor!

I definitely recommend the product. And don't forget to pick up a T-handle for use with the reamer----#12 to 5/16 size.

Manson .45 Colt cylinder reamer (30/05/2015)

I purchased a David Manson cylinder reamer and pilot set to open up the throats on my 14 year old Ruger .45 Colt Bisley Vaquero. Before reaming I was getting around 4 - 5" groupings at 30 ft. (not very good). After the cylinder was reamed to .4525" dia. my groups tightened to 1 - 1 1/2" @ 30 ft. Only other item you need to do the job is thread cutting oil and a t-handle wrench for the reamer.
