The REVOLVER CYLINDER THROATING REAMER from MANSON PRECISION is designed to improve accuracy and help eliminate fliers. This easy-to-use, hand-turned reamer opens the cylinder throat to a uniform diameter, ensuring optimal performance with both lead and jacketed bullets.

Key Features:

  • Removable pilots allow for the selection of the correct pilot for the best fit to individual chambers.
  • .45 Caliber: Corrects out-of-spec, smaller-than-bore-diameter cylinder throats on .45 Colt and other .45 caliber revolvers, opening the throat to .4525". Provided with a .4480" diameter pilot.
  • .44 Caliber: Fits .44 Magnum, .44 Special, and .44-40 revolvers, opening the throat to .431". Furnished with a .4270" pilot.
  • .357 Caliber: Adjusts from .3545" to .357", opening the throat to .358". Supplied with a .354" pilot.
  • Pilot Packs contain six additional pilots in .0005" increments for enhanced versatility.
  • .45 Caliber: From .4485" to .4510".
  • .44 Caliber: From .4275" to .4300".

Definitely recommended

Brownells USA Great product 13/02/2016

Bought it to use on my .45 Blackhawk along with the reamer. I pre pinned the throats at .451 so I knew I needed these as well. Well worth it, even if only for one gun. The gain in accuracy is excellent. Sad that Ruger doesn't just do this at the factory. I listed this and the reamer together on eBay if anyone is interested.

Brownells USA Manson .45 Colt cylinder reamer 30/05/2015

I purchased a David Manson cylinder reamer and pilot set to open up the throats on my 14 year old Ruger .45 Colt Bisley Vaquero. Before reaming I was getting around 4 - 5" groupings at 30 ft. (not very good). After the cylinder was reamed to .4525" dia. my groups tightened to 1 - 1 1/2" @ 30 ft. Only other item you need to do the job is thread cutting oil and a t-handle wrench for the reamer.
