The same special reamers military armorers have long used to cut minimum length chambers on match rifles, giving their shooters the accuracy advantage. The gun's own bolt applies pressure to the reamer while reamer is turned from the muzzle end. When the bolt "drops", the chamber is cut. Improved design cuts the shoulder, neck and throat to prevent neck crimping of the ammo. Use as a finish reamer ONLY. Cut chamber with conventional finish reamer first. Superb quality reamers made to SAAMI specifications.

Product Description
The same special reamers that military armorers have relied on for years are now available for your use. These reamers are specifically crafted to cut minimum length chambers on match rifles, providing shooters with a distinct accuracy advantage.
Using the gun's own bolt, pressure is applied to the reamer while it is turned from the muzzle end. When the bolt "drops," the chamber is cut, ensuring a perfect fit. The improved design effectively shapes the shoulder, neck, and throat, preventing neck crimping of the ammunition.
Important: Use this product as a finish reamer ONLY. It is essential to cut the chamber with a conventional finish reamer first.

Not recommended
Rod and T-handle different Diameters 30/01/2018
The rod shipped measures .267â outside diameter (not the .25â advertised) and the recommended T-handle has an inside diameter of .254â. Customer service said to send it back and they would send it to Clymer to sort out. Mean while I have barrels waiting to get finish reamed.

Great tool!!! 25/09/2017
I used this reamer to finish a short chambered M1 Garand barrel. It worked perfectly.
Not an issue for me as I have training on how to perform this task, but there were no instructions included. It had to be a fluke as I've never purchased any armorer tool from Brownell's that didn't come with instructions.
Patience, plenty of cutting oil and frequent checking are all recommended to prevent going too far. It doesn't take a whole lot of time for a short chamber as this tool cuts very well with minimum effort. I gauge checked and cleaned the tool and bore a number of times. In the end when the bolt closed on the final couple of turns the GO and NO GO gauges confirmed it was dead on spec.
I would definitely recommend this tool for the hobbyist and professional alike.
