Seven cross-slots in the 5" rail let you install an optic, Weaver top-mount rings, or other accessory, with plenty of flexibility in setting eye relief. Lightweight, yet rugged, reinforced molded polymer stands up to extreme weather conditions ranging from -40°F to 150°F.

Brownells USA a plastic peace of junk 12/11/2017

It's plastic! what more need said. 8 inch group at 100 yards,with rem. 870 tac. and fully rifled barrel and sabot slugs. just touch it and it flexes. save your money and buy a mettle one.

Brownells USA Well made but not a picatinni rail! 25/12/2014

The mount is well made and is easy to install. The bad news (be aware!) is that, dispite the description, the rail doesn't match mil standard and so none of dozen red-dots I have (trijicon, eotech, aimpoint, vortex) can be installed on this rail. The good news is that it is made of plastic, so a dremmel, 15 minutes of making existing grooves wider and cutting a coule of additional grooves and voila, the red dot can really be installed on 1187.



The fact that the rail cannot be used to instal majory of red-dot sight is the reason why I rate it as 4 starts only.
