Precision Center Punches for Accurate Sight and Base Installation

Introducing the HOLE CENTER PUNCHES, BROWNELLS COMPLETE HOLE CENTER PUNCH SET, designed for firearms enthusiasts and gunsmiths alike. This set includes three specialized center punches that ensure precision when mounting sights, ribs, or bases.

Product Features:

  • 3 special Center Punches with outside diameters (O.D.) that match the clearance drill size of the most popular sight, rib, and scope base mounting screws.
  • Ground, parallel-sided punches that can reach through even the thickest handgun rib.
  • Eliminates guesswork and hole center-to-center spacing issues.

How to Use:

To use the center punches effectively:

  1. Level the gun in a vise or scope mounting jig.
  2. Position and level the sight, rib, or base, and clamp it in place.
  3. Place the correct size punch in the hole and lightly tap it with a 4-oz. hammer.
  4. Remove the base, drill and tap the first hole, then re-install the base and check positioning.
  5. If everything is "square", re-clamp and finish drilling the other holes.
