Definitely recommended

Brownells USA Does the job 14/11/2013

Busted a different tap and ordered these to finish the job. Used with Viper's Venom cutting oil and threaded easily. Remember to go slow, use lots of oil and absolutely no more than 1/4 turn before reversing the tap and even less than that would be better.

Brownells USA Wrong Item 06/10/2013

I ordered one of these and got something different. The tap was 48TPI, but the diameter was not #6, it was 0.110" dia, which is between #3 (.099") and #4 (.112"), probably a #4-48 tap. It was marked #6-48, just not made to #6 diameter (.138"). The person I talked to promised to check the diameter of the free replacement he was sending, so I hope they send the correct one. Obviously a factory error.
