Challis hex drive bushings are a breakthrough design, perfect for a custom build, replacing damaged bushings, or changing between standard and slim grips. These bushings offer several advantages:

Easy Installation: Uses a 7/32” nut driver that allows you to feel thread engagement and avoid damaging cross threading.
Robust Design: The robust hex head handles the torque needed for proper seating without distorting the bushing or slipping and scratching your gun.
Reusable: Unlike the old style, Challis bushings can be reused multiple times, making them a cost-effective choice.
Optional O-Ring: Hex drive bushings can be fitted with an optional O-ring, ensuring grips remain snugly in place and minimizing shock during discharge.
Protection: Use of O-rings reduces scuffing of the frame by G10 and other abrasive grips, protects fragile and expensive grips such as ivory and mammoth tooth, and minimises loosening of bushings caused by heavy grip materials such as G10, carbon fibre, and aluminium.
Enhanced Shock Absorption: Using Challis grip screw O-rings with hex head bushings provides additional shock-absorbing protection for your gun, grips, and bushings.

Definitely recommended

Easier to install/remove 12/06/2015

Completely simplifies the installment and removal of grip screw bushings. No more bunged up grip bushing slots to file and trim when the spade slips out of the slot during installation, and a much cleaner look to them as well. Great idea from Challis Grips.
