This toolhead is designed to be a direct, bolt-on upgrade for your Dillon S1050 and Super 1050 / RL1100 presses. It features standard 7/8-14 UNF threading, making it fully compatible with all industry-standard dies and lock rings.
The toolhead incorporates a modified, 3mm thinner die base, allowing you to easily mount dies with ultra-short threaded sections. This thinner base also makes room for the standout feature of this toolhead: the Free-Float system. You can now use our highly popular Free-Float Rings to mount your dies. This system allows each die to self-center over the case, preventing the transfer of minor vibrations and movements between stations. The result is more consistent, concentric, and precise ammunition.
Additionally, the Free-Float system enables ultra-fine die depth adjustments and quick die changes. Because the lock ring stays locked onto your die, it ensures the die sits in the exact same position every time you reinstall it.
This toolhead also offers an extra 7/8-14 UNF threaded station (Station No. 4) over the swage mechanism, allowing you to add an additional die, such as a Hold-Down die or a Flare and Expander die.
The kit comes with all pins pre-installed and includes two different ratchets, depending on whether you are using an S1050 or RL1100 press. We also include an upgraded Shellplate Lock Nut featuring a single, brass-tipped retaining screw, completely replacing the original four fiddly plastic pressure plates. This makes shellplate removal and setting the perfect shellplate tension incredibly quick and easy.
