The box shipped was some off brand and odd size that I have only seen in Lowes - not the small plastic box pictured. I have about 25 of the small plastic boxes in my shop for bits and pieces and the shelves are set up for this size. Had to go out and buy another box and make up the label, but otherwise great!

I find the head just a little smaller than what normal guns use. But when you need a screw quickly and can't wait for one to come in, this fits the bill. I metric version of this would be nice, since there are a lot more metric guns out there now. Would give it five stars except for the size of the heads.

Good assortment 31/03/2010

The selection in this set is great, it should cover most of what a gunsmith needs and the lengths seem to be sufficient for most applications. The filister heads are pretty tall, so I find them perfect for use in the cases where I have to turn and re-shape the heads to match original screws. However, the head diameters are a bit on the small side (I might be wrong, but they seem to be about the same size as Allen heads), so you can't use these in applications that require a larger head (like some grips, etc). It's still a good value, it's great to have an assortment like this at hand, instead of getting stuck right in the middle of a project because a certain screw is missing, and then pay $5 for one OEM screw.

It would be a perfect kit if the heads were larger and I would personally prefer untreated screws instead of black oxide, but I still give it an easy 4 stars. Of course, a metric kit would be great too...
