Brownells USA Increase the accuracy of your 550 20/08/2013

I have used a Dillon 550 since the 1980s. I use it for almost all my precision rifle cartridges. These tool heads are much more accurate than the Factory heads. They will make all your rounds straighter.

OK, so have been using an XL650 to load rifle cartridges with reasonable results. Before integrating the Whidden tool head the runout distribution was from <.0005 - .004 TIR with the mean at approximately .002. After installing the Whidden tool head and making no other changes, the distribution is <.0005 - .002 with the mean approximately .001 TIR. Rarely does a round exceed .002 TIR. These measurements are somewhat bullet dependent: that is, high quality precision bullets when loaded always have a better TIR than others.
