I was really happy when my quad rail finally arrived. The only thing i wasn't to happy about was the surface rust on it.. Hopefully this wasnt something that happens with all rails new in the box. only knocking off a star because of the rust. Could be better packaging.

i previously had a midwest industries gen 2 drop in rail system, i really liked it and also gave it 5 stars, but i have the troy modular vertical grip and wanted to see what their rails were like. i was not dissapointed i mounted the carbine length on my S&W M&P 15. once you get it on and tighten the 4 set screws it does not move at all! you can spend more money but i dont think you will find a rail that is head over heels better

What is there to say about Troy products? Beautiful finish and manageable weight. The fit on the other hand, leaves something to be desired. Don't get me wrong, once you DO get it to fit, it is ROCK solid and has NO twist what-so-ever. Stepping up from a MOE FDE Forend to this, I was used to a tight fitting handguard, and the pain they are to install... but NOTHING prepared me to the struggle of installing this. My delta ring was pulled all the way down to the receiver and there was still about an 1/8th inch of rail to go before I could slide the delta ring back into normal place. Finally I just gave up trying to make it fit, and tighted the four set screws on the rail. By doing this it pulled the rail the rest of the way into place!! The grinding noise it made as it did, sickened me, but it did NO damage to either my delta ring, the rail, or my Spikes Upper. Now that it is installed, I fear that I may never be able to remove it, but I don't think I ever will want to anyway. This thing is beautiful and it looks like it came stock as part of the Upper.
