Definitely recommended
Another great Magpul Item 13/07/2016
This is the correct floor plate for the Gen 3 PMAG. It takes all of 5 seconds (unless you let the spring escape) to remove the original plate and install this one. In addition to all the speed elements, this allows for effortless removal of magazines from tightly packed pouches of all types. Only problem is that when you develop the muscle memory for extracting magazines from pouches equipped with this plate and then mix in other magazines without the plate you will fumble a bit. It is well worth it to equip all your Gen 3 PMAGs with this plate.
