Description:

Designed for tactical applications that require minimal dust signature. A massive symmetrical blast baffle, combined with two compensated front baffles, redirect gas to the sides and upward delivering unparalleled recoil reduction while also minimizing muzzle rise and ground disturbance. High tolerance class-3 threads machined in same operation as bore aperture ensures perfect concentricity; this combined with a progressively decreasing baffle thickness minimizes bullet flight disturbance resulting in less yaw, higher BC, and improved accuracy. Computer FEA optimized for maximum strength to weight ratio and impact survivability. Precision CNC machined from high strength HTSR 400-series stainless steel bar for superior heat and corrosion resistance. Available in either an ultra wear resistant DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) matte black finish. Wrench flats on top and bottom for easy installation and removal.

SPECS: HTSR 416 stainless steel, HRC 28-32, DLC finish - matte black. 5.56 version is 1.125" wide, .990" high, 2.225" long (.750" dia. at barrel), 3.3 oz. weight. Fits .223/5.56mm caliber rifles with 1/2-28 threads.

Recommended

Effective brake 27/05/2016

I installed this brake on a 3 gun build using a criterion hybrid 16" .223 wylde barrel also from Brownells. The gun shoots great. The barrel is very accurate and the brake does a pretty good job of mitigating recoil. The concussion is substantial when shooting indoors or under a roof but it does it's job.

My only complaint about this is the cost of the shim pack they recommend for aligning the brake. At $24.99 it seems a bit ridiculous and adds substantially to the cost of the brake. For the price of this brake it would be nice if they included the shims like other manufacturers do with less expensive brakes.

We shoot metal out to 400 yards off bipod and bags several times a week at our house. Going through several hundred rounds or more. I put this muzzle break on my AR (.223) first and it allowed me to stay on target looking through the scope. Barrel rise was eliminated, recoil felt like a .22. After my 15yr old shot it of course he had to have one. If you shoot metal or predators or anything it's a must. You will love it.

Moves a ton of air! 05/05/2015

I have installed this Muzzle break on my DMR. With a Brownells stainless steel 20 inch .223 Wylde barrel I am getting groups of 3/4 inch at 900 yards with 80 grain Hornday A-Max bullet with a 28.5 grain of Hogdon Varget Powder.

Last weekend while I was out with a 07 ffl class 2 sot that I know I threw it on a NFA registered lower and I can say that it stays level in full auto with almost no muzzle jump and is very controllable in full auto.

It relieves so much gas its like a fan for people standing 10-15ft on either side. This does not effect the shooter, but people around you at a range will get very annoyed.

All in all it does exactly what it is designed to do I love it and I will buy several more for future builds.
