The GUNNER profile uses the Government profile dimension from extension to the .625” gas block, then is a pencil profile from the gas block forward to the front. Removing the weight from the front of the barrel ensures maximum versatility and keeps material to the rear to maximize heat resistance and mitigate whip. Manufactured 100% in-house from cradle-to-grave, these Faxon barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11 degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy. Each Faxon GUNNER barrel goes through a battery of tests at each manufacturing operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. Slightly recommend

Brownells USA Overgassed 06/05/2018

I like the barrel profile. Its reasonably accurate. I don't like the fact that it ejects at 1 o'clock shooting XM193. It shoots around 2 o'clock with lower powered ammo and an H3 buffer. I don't want to put a $100 gas block on a $150 barrel to make it work.



I'm pretty disappointed. I've got a few Faxon parts, and I like them, but they really dropped the ball on this barrel. They should state that this barrel is for 3 Gun. It is purposefully overgassed so you can use an adjustable gas block, lightweight BCG, etc. to tune the rifle to run a super light load with low moving mass.

Brownells USA Poor Accuracy 05/03/2018

The accuracy of this barrel is the worst I have seen in building numerous ar15 rifles over 20 years. I have had barrels cost half as much beat this. It would not group with any of three bullet styles and weights tested, including known accuracy loads that shoot well in three other rifles. Groups ranged from 2 and 1/2 inches to over 4 and 1/2 inches shooting 3 types of Sierra bullets, not cheap FMJ stuff. These loads all shoot 3/4 to 1 and 1/2 inches in all rifles I have shot them in. I will not address any positive features of the barrel because it is so inaccurate as to be useless. Every low grade non- free floated generic ar-15 I have ever tested shot better than this. I will be contacting the manufacturer to see if they stand behind their product.
