Designed by Faxon Firearms' competition shooting staff for those who value performance and versatility, the GUNNER profile is a blend of two of the best performing profiles of all time: Gov't and Pencil. The GUNNER's profile from the extension to the gas block mimics the Government profile taper. From there, the GUNNER transitions to a .625" gas block journal and a pencil profile out front.

By removing weight from the front of the barrel, this design ensures maximum versatility while keeping material to the rear to maximize heat resistance and mitigate whip. Manufactured 100% in-house from cradle-to-grave, these barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11-degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy.

Quality is imbued into our barrels from the very start. Faxon begins with certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel, and each barrel undergoes a battery of tests at every operation until it is finished in Nitride and undergoes final inspection. All barrels are individually checked for headspace using precision custom hardened gauges.

Faxon manufactures all their barrels in Cincinnati, Ohio under ISO:9001 and AS:9100 quality certifications.

Slightly recommend

Brownells USA Overgassed 06/05/2018

I like the barrel profile. Its reasonably accurate. I don't like the fact that it ejects at 1 o'clock shooting XM193. It shoots around 2 o'clock with lower powered ammo and an H3 buffer. I don't want to put a $100 gas block on a $150 barrel to make it work.



I'm pretty disappointed. I've got a few Faxon parts, and I like them, but they really dropped the ball on this barrel. They should state that this barrel is for 3 Gun. It is purposefully overgassed so you can use an adjustable gas block, lightweight BCG, etc. to tune the rifle to run a super light load with low moving mass.

Brownells USA Poor Accuracy 05/03/2018

The accuracy of this barrel is the worst I have seen in building numerous ar15 rifles over 20 years. I have had barrels cost half as much beat this. It would not group with any of three bullet styles and weights tested, including known accuracy loads that shoot well in three other rifles. Groups ranged from 2 and 1/2 inches to over 4 and 1/2 inches shooting 3 types of Sierra bullets, not cheap FMJ stuff. These loads all shoot 3/4 to 1 and 1/2 inches in all rifles I have shot them in. I will not address any positive features of the barrel because it is so inaccurate as to be useless. Every low grade non- free floated generic ar-15 I have ever tested shot better than this. I will be contacting the manufacturer to see if they stand behind their product.
