This is a GREAT addition to your AK. I bought it because I wanted to update the wood on my AK. Due to 922r compliance reasons, stayed with USA made products. I thought about the Tapco red wood, but decided to go with the MI handguard.

Wow - What a great product. Fits super tight, and feels great in the hand. Really makes the AK look totally cool, and amps up the functionality.
