The 1911 Extreme Service Firing Pin Stop by Harrison Design & Consulting is a must-have for both heavy recoiling 1911s and those with shorter than Government Model slides.

Product Features:

  • CNC machined from high-quality oil-quenching tool steel
  • Designed for a balance of impact and wear resistance
  • GI hardness rating of 44-50Rc
  • .482" wide for easy fitting to your slide and extractor
  • Prevents extractor "clocking"
  • Chamfered fitting pads on each side for easier installation
  • 3/64" radius machined on the bottom rear corner
  • 3-degree angle at the top rear face to improve hammer cocking

This innovative design helps to reduce the initial movement of the slide, thereby slowing its rearward speed slightly. As a result, short length 1911s experience less imbalance between the slide's speed and the magazine spring's force during the last few rounds. This effectively minimizes the risk of bolt over base malfunctions caused by the slide outrunning the magazine spring.
