Brownells USA It does fit! 22/11/2015

The Brownell;s advisor says that this sight does not fit a Winchester 71, The Lyman company says this is the correct sight. It installed easily and fits perfectly. If they were still made of steel (ah, the good old days) and if the slide fitted a bit more tightly, I would have voted it 5 stars. It has been fun to shoot the rifle now that I have a sight that I can use (plain, open sights don't work well for me anymore). I am stretching the design a bit, using all the available elevation and lobbing reduced velocity chunks of lead but it is fun and I can ring the 200yd steel pretty regularly. With the 66WB I don't have to 'defile' a classic rifle by drilling it for a longer range tang sight.
