Definitely recommended

Brownells USA Fits the M&P Shield just fine. 20/09/2017

Update to previous review.....still a great sight. Wilsons says no to Shield use. I have since installed this sight on a shield. Stock sight came out much easier than Full size M&P. Stock sight is a bit different in that it has a ridge that runs across the sights dovetail vs just a smooth dovetail more normally seen. It appears to me that it gives them the ability to just push them in without any fitting at factory as the ridge just crushes to form a tight fit. Vickers sight needed fitting. It is oversized by about .007" on the width, front to back, of the dovetail. Used stock sight dimensions and sized down to them. Sights come out left to right on these. Go in right to left. I taper mine slightly on left side which makes pushing them in much nicer. Only by a .001". Vickers, once fit, went in with slight tapping until about even with slide and then I used a sight pusher to to center in fully. Nice snug fit if you leave it just a bit thick. Took some off bottom also. If you just do bottom, you will eventually get it in, but you'll have a big gap on bottom in dovetail. Better to fit it in width and height for a filled dovetail. Both have been solid and out to range several times with no real issues. Goes in Holsters fine. Edge above dot is fairly sharp and can feel it drag coming out of leather. No issues in kydex. Front of sight is rounded over nicely. As the other, green dot is bright and very easy to pick up in the sun or on rainy days like it was for me recently. No rust after rain and gun got wet. Left it overnight just to test. If you want a well made simple fiber optic front sight, this could be it. Works for me. Not super long like other ones either.

Brownells USA Nice sight, nice price! 09/09/2017

Great sight for the price. Needs a bit of fitting which is normal with most sights. Green is nice and bright for my older eyes. Width is nice at .125". Fiber optic is replaceable and a big plus. Can change colors or replace if it ever breaks. Some new sights are coating the rods or securing them in and you can't replace them. Stock M&p 2.0 front sight is tight. Pusher was still difficult. Couldn't even budge with punch. Keep in mind when trying to remove old one. Used on M&P 2.0 9mm. Says on Wilsons won't work with Shield. Haven't fit one yet but will. When held next to stock and in edge of dovetail, I don't see why not.
