Wrapped around a split gun stock, it will draw the glue line so thin it looks like part of the grain, with no "clamp marks" in the wood and no slipping or pulling-off of the joint. For holding all irregular surfaces it is unsurpassed - gluing, forming, jigging, aligning - use the Pulling Power of surgical tubing. (It also makes excellent slingshot rubbers.)Use no knots. Tuck over one end and wrap over it, as shown, when pulling the tube around the part being held. Make the final tuck as shown. A small wedge or wood dowel simplifies making this final tuck. Definitely recommended
Other uses for tubing 18/06/2012
for fisherman, this tubing is wonderful. Cut in 2in. tubes, run line thru tube, attach small treble hook, #8 for me, attach other end to leader, then use for catfish. Dip tubing in cheese bait or your favorite dip bait, and whammo, you have the perfect catfish worm.
