Except where noted, all recoil springs are supplied with an extra power firing pin spring that keeps the firing pin stop in place and prevents firing pin float ; an addition recommended by pistolsmith Bill Wilson. TYPE C - Extra Power For Hardball and Heavier Loads inGov't./Gold Cup are for these guns in both .45 ACP and .38 Super. Allows more precise tuning of individual guns for better stripping, smoother cycling. Factory weight is 16 lb. Extra power firing pin spring included.

Definitely recommended

Brownells USA 18 1/2 Lb Recoil Spring Wolf 26/03/2012

I use this spring in my Les Baer Ultimate Tactical Carry.....change them every 1500 rounds.
This is probably soon, but with Brownell's prices, why risk damage to my favorite shooter?
They also come with an extra power firing pin spring. Change this with recoil spring, and you never have to worry.
