It is a specialized offset mount that plays nicely with their FAL handguards. It also works great for the SCAR, MCX, MPX, AK, Scorpion and pretty much any other non-AR platform. The Torrent Africa mount also works great for AR rifles that incorporate a BE Meyers MAWL. The user can mount the Torrent Africa at the 430PM position on the rail and roll their weapon mounted light nicely underneath that MAWL. WEIGHT 0.600 Torrent Inline M-LOK® **For Use With M-LOK® Rails** Directly attaches to any M-LOK® compliant rail surface Ambidextrous with 7 total mounting solutions on 7 sided M-LOK® rail system 4 light mounting positions provide .265” of lateral adjustment Forward mounting design is low profile, lightweight and does not impede weapons manipulation Mount does not interfere with the operation of front back-up iron sights The Torrent Inline light mount is a very traditional mount which acts as a direct mounting option for your light. Instead of requiring a rail section to be added to you M-LOK® rail, you can use this mount. To provide the highest level of supporting structure, this mount should be attached in a way that it does not have any portion hanging off the rail. If it hangs off the rail, it does run a risk of being bent under pressure. The Inline mount plays well with most IR devices including the B.E. Meyers MAWL, L3 PEQ-15, L3 NGAL, Steiner DBAL and many others. WEIGHT 0.711 oz. This mount is normally attached to the rail at the 3 O’clock or 9 O’clock position and holds the light around the 1:30 and 10:30 positions, respectively. There are unique mounting options with this that make it a possibility for use with the previously mentioned IR devices as well. WEIGHT 0.653 oz Torrent SBR Picatinny Light Mount **For Use With 1913 Picatinny Rails** 3 light mounting positions provide .250” of lateral adjustment Cantilevered mounting design shifts light forward of mount, increasing usable rail space. Light offset optimized at a 45 degree offset for ergonomic activation Ambidextrous with 8 total mounting solutions on 4 sided 1913 picatinny rail system Low profile, lightweight and does not impede weapons manipulation Positions the light as close to the firearm as possible Mount does not interfere with the operation of front back-up iron sights The Torrent SBR Picatinny Rail Light Mount is designed to push the light body forward and in fact uses the same body attachment style as the SBR M-LOK® but mounts to Picatinny instead of M-LOK®. Because of that, it provides the user with the ability to mount the light tighter to the rail on a Quad rail setup. You can run this mount on the top rail, hanging to the left or right of the rail. The Torrent Africa mount is a specialized solution developed at the request of Eco Defense Group and the Park Rangers of Kruger National Park in South Africa.
