I've used five or so of these in the past year where people wanted a 5/8-24 thread on a lighter profile barrel. I always double check for concentricity and haven't had a problem yet.

had a 6x45mm barrel in this 9/16 x 24 thread pattern and trying to find breaks in this pattern is hard. Alexander Arms uses this pitch but hard to get parts.
well they make lots of breaks in 5/8 x 24. problem solved.
