Brownells USA Rear sight not very bright 16/02/2014

I have warren tactical sights on 5 different pistols, I like the sight picture and general quality. I have the plain rear with the night sight front. I bought this set because I love the heinie straight 8 sight on my 1911. Since brownells didn't have the heinie sight for the shield, I bought these instead. The rear sight dot is very small, dim and yellow, Heinies are the same size and color if I'm not mistaken. So this draws your eye to the front, but you might as well get the plain rear sight if that is your goal. The front sight is fine, bright and visible. Also, the sights have a sharp area on the top where the edges are, just a heads up for those who plan to use for concealed carry.

This is the second set of Warren Tactical Sights that I've purchased and used to replace the factory sights. All I can say is... AWESOME!! They function as they are designed and it is easy to line up/find the target. I got the plain rear and tritium front this time and finding my sight is SOOO easy and quick! Some fitting was required but no more than any other aftermarket sights. Warren Tactical has become my choice for aftermarket sights. I'd love to replace all my weapon sights with these if I could afford it.
