Not recommended

Brownells USA Trigger is nice but that’s it! 12/11/2017

I installed this kit and the pistol would fire a round or two and then I would only get light primer strikes and no bang? I contacted Apex and they said to bend a bar in the lower but not to much as it is not heat treated and can break! Did that and still same results! Did it a few more times with no success so I sold the kit to someone else who wanted to try it out.



Sorry it didn’t work out as it seemed like a good upgrade!

I purchased this product from Brownells.com



Pros

Hard anodized aluminum trigger compared to the stock trigger is stiffer and does not cause sideways trigger movement causing accuracy to suffer.

Trigger pull was consistent 4.25 lb trigger pull (stock 5.75 lb).

Very Clean Break



Cons

On my gun I had to adjust the trigger bar adjustment to meet the sear. It is not difficult to do but you need feeler gauges to make sure that you don't over adjust. If you do the pistol will become unsafe. When adjusting the trigger bar add .005 at a time from the original gap. Watch the Apex video on adjusting the trigger bar and your not comfortable doing it have a gun smith do it for you.

If you don't already have the tools you can buy them but the cost might be more effective to have a gunsmith install unless you need it for other firearms.
