warning - disapointed 06/12/2012
I was not able to get this device to work well even when following the directions. In the end, I was able to load several stamps in a row then tighten up the guide and clamp the assembly to a barrel. Even this way, it was hard to use. The clearance between the plates was too tight to insert the stamps without loosening the side screws. It is hard to get just five stamps into the guide (e.g., 300H&H cannot be done without the alignment risk of a second setup). I wish I had read keydiverfla's review before laying down my money.
Caution 08/01/2010
The device is well made, however it will slip resulting in uneven markings. After reading the instructions over several times I tried it. I was disappointed with the results. I then tried it again on an old barrel and the same thing happened again. I made sure the holding ring was very tight. My opinion is save your maoney and go to a jeweler of plaque company that can do it right, the first time.
