Best for cleaning case necks of deposits 24/03/2013
I handload my ammo. I use these stainless steel brushes to clean the carbon and deposits from the necks of fired cases AFTER sizing them and prior to reloading, so as to get a consistent coefficient of friction between the bullet and neck. This gives lower standard deviation of muzzle velocity. I use SS, rather than bronze brushes because they are faster, more aggressive, and efficient. They outlast bronze by an order of magnitude. It only takes 2 or 3 seconds when chucked into a power drill; in and out fast. Saves time. Doesn't harm the cases at all. After doing about 25-50 cases, I reverse the rotation direction of my drill, since the bristles will eventually "bend over" a certain amount. Works great; lasts a long time.
SS Bore Brush 50BMG 11/12/2010
I use these SS bore brushes to scrub my 50BMG barrels, They work great and are not eaten by chemicals in copper remover cleaning fluids. They willnot damage bores near as much as 235 grains of powder burning. You will burn out abarrel before you will wear it out scrubbing with the SS brushes. Only negative I've had is brush pulling out of crimp on return stroke of heavily fouled barrels.
