The Brownells Socket Head Cap & Set Screw Kit is an indispensable collection for any gunsmith or firearm enthusiast. This comprehensive kit includes:

  • Three different lengths and six sizes of cap screws
  • Six sizes and five lengths of set screws

All components are neatly organized in a clear, six-compartment, heavy-duty plastic bench box, making it easy to find what you need when you need it.

Specifications

This kit contains a total of 108 screws, with:

  • 12 each of the most popular sizes
  • 6 each of the less frequently used sizes

Cap screws: 4-40 x ¾", 6-32 x ¾", 8-32 x 1", 10-32 x 1½", ¼-20 x 1½", ¼-28 x 1½".

Set screws: 4-40 x 1⁄8", 6-32 x 3⁄16", 8-32 x ¼", 10-32 x 5⁄16", ¼-20 x 3⁄8", ¼-28 x 3⁄8".

Metric Conversion: 1" = 25.4mm.

Refill packs are available, with 12 screws per pack, ensuring you always have the essentials on hand.

Definitely recommended

Brownells USA Perfect for Aero Precision lowers 18/01/2017

If you have a gen 2 aero precision lower receiver this is exactly what you need for the rear takedown pin detent hole. Aero lowers come pre-threaded for a 4-40 set screw. Simply cut off and remove a small piece of your detent takedown spring to compensate for the length of the 4-40 set screw.

Remove 2.5 to 3 rotations of the spring with a wire cutter or similar tool. Install carefully so that you do not lose the set screw and or send the spring flying. The allen wrench needed is 0.050
