Got this to replace a stock black .146 blade with a white outline blade for a 617 10 shot; after blade was installed with a new windage screw and nut also purchased from Brownells I used this punch to stake the screw. Two firm, solid taps and the screw was staked perfectly. Hint: get the spanner bits also sold here. It comes with the instructions: FOLLOW them and it works.
Punch is not worth it...get the Starrett 26/10/2012
The kit is great for rebuilding rear sights as they break from use and carry.
All the included parts: nuts, screws, detents and springs are great.
The spanner wrench is good, but a bit on the soft side. It isn't meant for high torque anyways.
The punch is something to be desired. The tip it too big to properly flare the end of the screw. I ended up buying a Starrett punch set which includes the center punch. It made a perfect flare.
Brownells needs to grind the included punch down to the proper size. it is the size of a Philliips screwdriver, way too big.
