Enhance your shooting precision with the Sinclair Bullet Seating Depth Tool!

The Sinclair Bullet Seating Depth Tool has been a trusted companion for handloaders for decades, designed to help you achieve the utmost accuracy from your rifles. Our latest model is crafted from one fourth inch ground and polished stainless steel, featuring:

  • One end turned down for use with 17 and 20 caliber rifles
  • The other end suitable for 22 caliber and up

This innovative tool allows you to determine the length of a loaded round that touches the rifling, ensuring optimal performance. The Sinclair Seating Depth Tool is compatible with most bolt action, single shot, and AR type rifles.

Included with the tool is a Delrin action guide that fits most bolt-action rifles, with a diameter of 0.690” suitable for Remingtons, Savages, Winchesters, and many Rugers. For the most precise measurement, it is recommended to use your fireformed brass and bullets, guaranteeing an exact measurement every time.

Additionally, guides for AR-15's, AR-10's, and Tubb's 2000's are also available. This guide is slightly different from our standard bolt-action guides, as it inserts into the back of the upper receiver (with the bolt removed), allowing you to use the tool as normal.

For best results, we recommend pairing this tool with our Bullet Comparators and a quality set of calipers to achieve repeatable and precise Base-To-Ogive measurements.

Definitely recommended

Brownells USA Money well spent 29/04/2017

This product is simple and made from good materials. The first time I used it I shot a 0.165" group at 100 yards. That's pretty good for a 35 caliber hunting rifle. My load development consisted of seven rounds. Two charge weights. One fouler. Two three shot groups. The second group was money.

I bought this to use on my AR-10 and it worked just fine with 175g Sierra Match King BTHP bullets. I also bought the AR-10 insert. I will be using this on my new bolt gun to achieve proper seating depth. Great product!
