Definitely recommended

Works well in 3rd Gen G17 22/01/2018

Iâved use the âSteelâ striker in (4) 3rd Gen guns and have had great sucess. Teamed with a fitted trigger bar and firing pin block, this striker makes a good improvement over the factory MIM part.

Noticable difference! 28/02/2013

Noticable difference in dry fire, weight, and striking of primer. Vibrations during dry fire with stock striker are abundant, but with this firing pin you will notice the difference immediately (for the everyday intermediate to advanced shooter). Weight is also cut dramatically from the stock to this aftermarket piece. I use this in my glock 21SF and it fits perfectly.

What it does:lighter striker=faster speed.Because it comes w/lighter Wollf spring to help reduce trigger pull,this pair of parts still hits primers with as much force as stock, maybe more.For sake of comparison,stock striker & spring is a 230grn bullet moving @ 800fps..This pair of parts is represented by a 180grn bullet @ 1180fps.Both are .45acp, but the lighter bullet actually carries more ft.lbs. of impact force! The lighter rate,trigger friendly spring is able to strike and ignite primers with as much force as the much heavier stock striker and spring.It also quiets and reduces dry-fire vibrations.T.P.D.A. strongly recommends using a stiffer replacement trigger spring (the 30% by Glokworx is perfect)with this product.Also look at the Lightning Strike safety plunger and a 3.5lb. connector for a full job. If you have any $ left, the trigger itself can be replaced. Lightning Strike makes a nice one. Lone Wolf makes one with a built in 'safe/fire' button.
PS-to break down stock striker in order to re-use plastics.Relieve spring pressure on bullet striking end,the small black plastic bushing is 2 piece and sandwiches pin.
PSS-Looks as if should be long-lasting if you don't constantly dry-fire.
