Definitely recommended

Savage 99 stock 11/09/2014

Fit almost perfect right out of the box. Had to do 5 min with a file to smooth out the area for the safety. Looks match the forend very close. Should darken up with some use. Very happy with the stock, and would recommend it.

Savage Model 99 replacement buttstock 30/08/2010

I have a mid thirties model 99 with a butstock cracked at the wrist. I purchased a replacement from another vendor and it didn't come close to fitting the gun. A gunsmith wanted to charge me over a hundred dollars to fit the new stock. I have purchased two replacement stocks from Brownells made by Woodplus and they droped in without any fitting except to sand the tang to match the metal. I wish they made a stock for a Remington Model 10. I'd buy that one too.
