Brownells USA Definite improvement 31/07/2018

The factory RPR trigger felt similar to a Savage or Reminngton 700 x-mark pro trigger. It is externally adjustable which is always appreciated, but it still felt heavy at its lightest weight.

My Timney straight trigger went into my 6.5 creedmoor RPR gen 2 with a little hesitation. It took a little force, and the Timney rep on the phone said it shouldn't havr any hesitation. Eventuslly I got it installed after maybe 20 mins. I wanted to adjust it as low as possible just to try it out. The rifle would not engage the cartridge until the pull weight was around 2lbs total. I wish it was externally adjustable, and I wish there was an overtravel stop, so the trigger doesn't move after the trigger breaks, but the overtravel movement is pretty minor so most people won't even notice.

This Timney trigger is a definite improvement over the factory Ruger Precision Rifle trigger. Could it be better? Yes. But the trigger pull feels great, so I would suggest it to others, and I do. The main downside is the price.
